¿Existen volcanes inactivos en Colombia? Sí, aquí te explicaremos todo sobre ellos, la diferencia entre uno activo y uno inactivo, características y datos.

En la siguiente infografía queremos dar a conocer la diferencia entre los volcanes activos e inactivos, con la ayuda del Servicio Geológico de Colombia y las investigaciones que se han hecho alrededor del mundo. Hacer este tipo de diferenciaciones es importante debido a que muchas veces confundimos ciertos términos al hablar de volcanes o no tenemos conocimiento sobre ellos.
Entre la riqueza natural que posee Colombia, contamos con volcanes activos e inactivos alrededor de todo el país, en especial en la zona de las cordilleras, así mismo, el nuestro está entre los países con mayor actividad volcánica en Latinoamérica debido a que está debajo de una placa tectónica con historial sísmico fuerte, por eso es necesario que los tres observatorios de Colombia estén monitoreando constantemente los volcanes para poder evitar una tragedia.
En la infografía podrá ver que los volcanes inactivos no cuentan con un requerimiento de monitoreo constante; sin embargo, es necesario conocer con claridad cuáles son y su ubicación.
Esta pieza le ayudará a identificar las diferentes características de un volcán, sus niveles o estados de erupción, y también a saber qué hacer en caso de encontrarse en una zona de actividad volcánica (escaneando el código QR que encontrar al final de la pieza gráfica). Finalmente, buscamos recalcar la existencia de aquellos volcanes que no son atendidos y por lo tanto no promulgados, pues por lo que ya se ha visto, puede existir un volcán disfrazado de montaña.
